University of Iowa - Working Relationship

The Iowa City VA Health Care System and the Iowa City VA Medical Research Foundation (ICVARF) maintain a cooperative working relationship with the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Medical investigators are often employed by both institutions. ICVARF plays a crucial role in this partnership with a goal to develop a comprehensive and diverse portfolio dedicated to investigate a variety of ailments afflicting the veteran community.

Cooperative working agreements are created to ensure the medical resources are leveraged to maximize benefits to the research and provide clarity for the research process, funding and reporting.
